Sweet, juicy and built for the voyage
Egypt is one of the world’s largest orange exporters, and Valencia from the Nile Delta is known for its sweetness, high juice content and firm peel that travels well on long sea routes. We ship Navel oranges early in the season and Valencia through to late spring.
Every lot is washed, waxed where required, graded by count and packed to the written specification you approve. Tell us whether the fruit is for fresh retail, wholesale markets or juicing: this decides the grade, size range and pack.

Buying Oranges: common questions
When is the Egyptian orange season?
Navel oranges run from December to February and Valencia from February to May. Peak export volumes are from February to April.
Which sizes are available?
Counts from 42 to 125 per 15 kg carton. Most European retail programmes buy 56–88; the Gulf and Asia often prefer larger fruit. Send your count range with the enquiry.
What is the difference between Navel and Valencia?
Navel is seedless and easy to peel, ideal for fresh eating early in the season. Valencia is juicier and sweeter, with a thinner peel, and is the main variety for fresh export and juicing.
How many cartons fit in a 40ft reefer?
Typically around 1,500–1,600 cartons of 15 kg on 20–21 pallets, depending on the pallet pattern and carton size. We confirm the loading plan in the quotation.
Can you supply oranges for juicing?
Yes. Valencia oranges can be supplied in bulk or in crates for juice processors; tell us the Brix and acidity requirements.
