Overview
New-crop potatoes when Europe’s stores run low
Egyptian new-crop potatoes reach Europe, the Gulf and the CIS from January, when stored northern crops are running low. Clean skin, attractive shape and a long season make Egypt one of the largest potato suppliers to the EU.
We separate table-potato and processing requirements from the start. For table programmes we focus on skin finish, shape and calibre; for processors, on dry matter, frying colour and defects. Tell us the use and variety and we match the right fields and lots.
